Be a hunter. Not a tracker.
When creating advertisements for Artemis, the profit bird is the main character and the key to the distinctive Artemis visual identity. The visual style of the brand is unique and uses illustrative images with a clean and professional columned layout design. When artworking all advertisements for print, the guidelines were strict. All body copy was to be justified with the occasional graph or other small image sat in-between. Copy changes were always run by the design team to make sure the columns still worked and there were no widows or orphans; causing the advertisement to look messy in any way.
Alternate images.
Throughout Artemis’ advertising campaigns, illustrator Bob Venables work is at the forefront as the focal piece that the serious copy commonly surrounds. As a photo retoucher this sometimes came in handy when needing to alter certain illustrations to fit a specific brief.
Storytelling with an infographic.
Telling a story through infographics is a great way to efficiently educate in a clear and concise way. This was an experimental piece formed from sourced illustrations online, all from different stock websites, to bring the piece together and make it feel consistent.
